STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, and Math. Formerly known as RS, or Research Seminar, it is a year-long course at Mass Academy. The first part is the science fair. Each student selects a problem in either the field of science, technology, engineering, or math, and attempts to solve or improve it by researching and experimenting. My topic involves the signal strength given off by the antennas of wireless routers. Each student also has a faculty advisor for their project. My advisor is Mrs. Bonneau.

After the Mass Academy Science Fair in February, some students then move on to Regional, State, and possibly International competitions, where prizes such as awards, scholarships, and cash can be won for an innovating project. Regardless of whether or not a student's project advances, once the Mass Academy Science Fair is over, STREAM then becomes a group-based Engineering project. My partners for the group-based STREAM project are Ryan Lagoy and Avri Wyshogrod. STREAM B is a separate project - the website for our STREAM B project can be viewed here

EXAMPLES OF WORK:

The STREAM A project culminated in a research paper that detailed background information, the experiment performed, and the subsequent results.
