Community Service

Phi Sigma Sigma has been involved with a number of different community programs over the course of the last year. Girls have volunteered at food pantries, homeless shelters, participated in the annual breast cancer walk in Boston, as well as many other events. During the holidays, Phi Sigma Sigma sponsors a clothing drive and donates the collection to the Salvation Army right here in Worcester. In addition, Phi Sigma Sigma teams up with Sigma Alpha Epsilon, a fellow fraternity at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, to host a holiday party for children from Friendly's House, a local group helping underprivileged kids. We invite the children from the Friendly House over for a morning of holiday treats, entertainment, and presents! The children enjoy themselves as much as we do! Worcester City Cleanup has always been a fun way to jump start spring. All the colleges in Worcester send students to go out and clean empty lots to make our city that much better. WPI brings more people every year than all the other colleges combined! Our sisters are members of service organizations on campus as well, including Girl Scout Days and Exploradreams. These are just some of the ways in which Phi Sigma Sigma is giving back to the community and will continue to do so throughout the coming years!
