Spanish is an interesting class. Currently we are reading a boring story called "el Sueno de Linda". I didn't get most of the story in the beginning and wrote the sentence:
Tambien, los meseros son muy caros y Ricardo, el novio de Linda, fue nervioso.
Note that Ricardo is Linda's father.
We eventually got to some better topics such as a movie on the "Guerra Sucia", "Pan's Labyrinth", and later "The Motorcycle Diaries".
We made some a movie and I decided to add poorly translated subtitles. I translated the Spanish script into Japanese and then into English. Here is that Movie script
