Physics is like a spare math class. There are other things and it is far easier but we really don't talk about the functions in the real world as in a mathmatical equation.
There is homework every night but understanding the basic concept is a large part of the work. We also have a few labs studying anything from pennys dropping to balls flying but we get enough time to write the reports so that the load isn't too bad.
We eventually got to some other labs on swinging balls and synthesizing sounds.
