STREAM used to be called RS, or Research Seminar. I don't really know for what STREAM stands. RS seems a lot easier. Every Mass Academy student has to conduct a 6 month long research project and present it at the MSSEF in February. My project involves flute thickness and its effect on the timbre of the tone produced. Timbre is how something sounds due to the harmonics that make up the sound. It is a physics and math based research project. The testing and experimentation will be done during Christmas break. Can't wait!
