Hi, welcome to my website. My name is Nick and I'm a student at the Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science in Worcester, MA. Mass Academy is a school focused mainly on advanced education in the fields of math and technology. Although these subjects are its main focus, the school still provides all of the core high school subjects: math, science, English/grammar, humanities, and foreign language. However, Mass Academy also offers a Computer Science course as well as a wide variety of exciting electives.
I transferred to Mass Academy from Oxford High School last year. I had been considering making the switch for several months, but was unsure of myself. I have always loved math and science, so it seemed like the perfect choice. The only problem I had with it was the mere number of hours Academy students have spent on homework in the past. After much consideration, I finally decided to apply and, following weeks of waiting, I received an acceptance letter. I was relieved and overjoyed. It was hard to believe that only a year ago I hadn't even considered transferring to Mass Academy.
I like to think of myself as an average teenager in most respects: I can't stand waking up early to go to school, I dislike homework, I play video games, I watch TV, and I eat a lot of junk food. Naturally, there are some things that make me unique. For example, I absolutely adore ice skating. I don't play hockey, figure skate, or speed skate; I simply enjoy recreational skating. I also love a good book. A few of my favorite authors include James Patterson, Dan Brown, Stephen King, and Tom Clancy. My undisputed favorite book of all time (so far) is Without Remorse by Tom Clancy. Another little-known fact about me pertains to my eyes. For some strange and unknown reason, my right pupil is always slightly larger than my left pupil, regardless of dilation.
