The science and technical writing course (STW) at Mass Academy is the complement to the writing done in the humanities course (see 'Humanities,' under 'Academic Portfolio') . It focuses on teaching proper grammar usage and formatting for formal writings, such as research proposals and scientific journal articles.A few examples of the recent work we have been doing are a methodology for a simple science experiment and a sample of nature writing.
During the latter part of the year, we have worked on numerous other writing assignments. A few or my favorites include
papers on the history of rockets,
Percy Julian, and
a revolutionary French bullet.
