Humanities

Humanities at Mass Academy is taught by Mr. Ludt. It is a very fun class which includes history, English, and a bit of drama. We act out ancient Greek and Roman plays, read classical literature, and have dicussions of the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. We recently read portions of the Illiad and wrote an essay on a topic that we chose. After finishing with the Illiad we worked on Elizabethan England. We each researched a topic and I chose Elizabethan superstitions. We read three stories: Song of Roland, Beowulf, and the Nibelungenlied. I wrote an essay comparing them to each other. Then we read Richard III by Shakespeare and I wrote an essay on the curses of the play. We made a collage of the controversies in the world.
