Madame Wildfong teaches French here at Mass Academy! Unlike traditional language classes, all of our classes are totally in French. We write, read, and speak in French. But we don't get long vocabulary lists to memorize or quizzes on paper. If you try to speak in english you can count on a stuffed monkey being thrown at you...it's an effective way to learn French and I love it! When I go to college I want to minor in French. I hope to one day study abroad and maybe even live in France.
The first thing we read in French was "La Belle et La Bete," or Beauty and the Beast. Afterwards we were required to write an essay comparing the story we read to the movie by Jean Cocteau.
We also worked in groups to write fairytales which we presented to the class. Here is my groups!
The year is finally over! My final consisted of a written test on verbs and an oral exam, which was basically just a 15 minute conversation in French. Over the past three terms, we have worked on a lot of different things. Here is what I wrote and read for an oral assignment. We have many oral assignments because being able to communicate is important. Here are some questions I answered based on a movie we watched, Inch Allah Dimanche. I highly reccommend it.
