4.29.05 Meeting Minutes


The part of Jen Gilbert, the secretary, will be played by Anthony Scanzani

Kelly:
This is the last meeting of the year  :(

B-Term:
AJ-People will be writing scripts

Little Theatre:
Paul met with people this week and expects the theatre to be completed by
the next Masque Meeting (next year)

MW Rep:
Selection for fall 2005 shows will be Monday May 2nd in the Mid-century
room in the Campus Center at 7pm.
Anyone may suggest a show.  Email mwrep@gweep.net, Each show must be
submitted with a producer and director. ***More details to follow in the
MW Rep email that will shortly be sent out to the list***

Sunburns:
There will be a meeting for Sunburns Thursday May 5th in the Taylor Room
in the Campus Center at 8pm concerning the summer production.

Alpha Psi Omega is accepting donations for the Green Room, See Paul

SCP:
Monday May 2nd at 9pm in the Campus Center there will be stand up
comedy. MCed by Eric Mill and Mike Schenck Featuring Performances from
some of your SCP favorites and others!

The question was:   In what year and term was GI created and by who?
The answer was:     Trick question, there was no answer. With the
secretary missing, trivia will always go without an answer. Let this be a
lesson…

Dan:
He was in Hong Kong, and in the back Alleys being eyed by several women,
after a while he finally figured out they were in-fact prostitutes.  At
which time he invented a game to try and spot the prostitute.

Others:
MQPs- Some are done, some still need to get done, and one just happen to
be done in only 3 days

Congrads to Paul on winning not one but two Salisbury awards

There was a small amount of indiscretion by one Eric Mill around President
Berkey

4.22.05 Meeting Minutes

Announcements:
A web master for next A term is needed.

NV23:

B-term:
AJ-stuff is happening

Little Theatre:
Paul-meeting Tuesday and Thursday.  All the permits have passed. The floor
plan in on the call board out side the green room.

MW Rep:
Meeting soon to pick A term's show

Alpha Psi Omega:
There was a brief meeting.  Alpha Psi Omega is starting a fund raising
campaign to get furnishings for the green room.  If you would like to
donate contact Paul.

GI & Empty Set:
This friday will be a show at 7pm

Kilroy:
There was a show last Thursday that was awesome!!!  Once this school year
is over Eric will be talking all the tapes of comedy on campus and putting
them on line and on dvds.  Hopefully to be completed by the end of May.

Susan:
Jamo- the point of rehearsals: "rehearsals before the show are like
mastarbation before sex, it is just a warm up"

Trivia:
This weeks trivia is a speed trivia question. In what year was WPI's
Dramatic Society created?
the correct answer was 1911 and Anthony Scanzani won an awesome orange
sented yo-yo.

Dan:
He was checking e-mail while he was working in the director of athletics
office. He clicked one of the emials to open and then was distracted by a
phone call. Next thing he knew the director of athletics walked by and
gave him a weird look.  He had no idea what was going on until he looked
at the screen and saw red letters saying "Greatly Enhance..." well you get
the picture. They did not say anything to each other and he was finally
releived when she left the office.

Others:
Dean- there were keys left at strike.  See Dean if they are yours.
Jake-8pm last friday was an awesome concert in Riley Commons.
AJ-go to the Saharra and see Bonnie Jean.
Shauna-start writing your play for NV24 now.
Anthony-he sut his foot, so did some one else and they were both at the
health center at the same time.
Jamo-Ed and him are working together to organize a charity concert and
need suggestions of band to perform. Email Jamo.

Announcements:
There will not be a masque meeting next week.

NV23:
Shauna- We are opening really really soon. There is a new programing
schedule. It is on the NV23 website at www.wpi.edu/~nv23.  Tell ALL of
your friends to come to see NV23.

Little Theatre:
AJ- Here key was taken away because it did not work.  But she can still
give you a tour if you want.

There was an important meeting after the masque meeting today.

GI:
Last weeks performance was AWESOME!!  Keep your ears open for
announcements about their next performance.

Kilroy:
They will be performing at UMass Amherst.  They will perform during Quad
Fest on Thursday at 8pm.

Empty Set:
During Quad Fest they will be performing on Tuesday their MST3K thing two
times, at 1pm and 7pm, in Fuller Lab's Hall.

Susan:
The provost has announced that the Salisbury Award has gone to Paul
Messier.  Congratulations Paul!!!!

This weeks trivia question is on the "History of New Voices at WPI":

-In what year was the first New Voices performed?  Who started New Voices?
 Where was it first performed?
-In what year was the first scenic design competition held and what New
Voices performance number was it?
-In what year was the first poster design competition held?  Who was the
first winner and what was the name of their entry?

Eric Mill was the first person with the correct response of:
First NV - 1982.  Susan Vick started it.  It was first performed in
the Higgins House Great Hall.
The first scenic design competition was in 1999 at NV17.
Poster - 2003 in NV21.  The first winner was Dramatic License, by Ben
Sandofsky.

His prise was a Barrel-of-Monkeys!!!

Dan:
While he was in Hong Kong he developed a gambling addiction to the game
Mahjong.  He ended up playing it a lot and the people next door to him in
the hotel complained.  The goal of Mahjong is to et certain hands to win.
There is one hand, 13 pieces, which is very hard to get and HE GOT IT!!!
He ran down the hall way screaming with excitement.  He got this hand
after only playing like 5 times and his Chinese friends, who have been
playing for much longer without getting the hand, were very upset.  In the
end, he bought a set of the game and if you would like him to teach you
just ask!

Others:
Chris- Sadly her last performance while in Interstate 8 is tonight  :(
Mike Ciaraldi- He is buying a house in Worcester 2 miles away! His flowers
are blooming!!!
Eric- He is healed, the cast is off!!!
AJ-Bonnie Jean, a former student of WPI and a current Grad student at WPI
is performing at the Sahara tonight from 8 to 9:30pm.

The one to get it first was Amy Castonguay, but she is away. So, TC was
the runner up and he received a bubble gun!

Masquot:
Dan was in Hong Cong for his IQP he worked at a alternative school and
they were trying to improve it. While he was there all the little girls
that were there had crushes on him.  For 6 weeks he had 200 giggling girls
surrounding him.

Others:
-Shauna-there is a nasty virus going around, if you get and are not
feeling well tell them and sleep.
-(sorry I do not know your name)- there is a "8 minute madness festival"
and the deadline for entry is April 25th
-Ty- need new radio voice for their NV play, anyone interested?
-Angelo-his is planning on doing publicity at all the consortium schools
and Worcester High, he needs people to help him with distributing flyers
-Jamo-needs help painting and other set stuff
-AJ-she went to coffee house this week and Prof. Gibson was chosen as one
of the three that will perform at the quad fest


03.25.05 Meeting Minutes



Announcements-
   A web master has been found, Mike, he was chosen to run and elected
today.  A VP Master Electrician is STILL needed.

NV23-
   Shauna- Directors are awesome for getting their run times e-mailed to
her on time.  Make sure that if you going to use the green room for
rehearsals to sign up so that someone can come to open up the door.  A
crew is still needed, e-mail Shauna if you are interested at
shaunana@gmail.com.  A house manager is still needed as well so e-mail
her if you are interested in that.
   Eric- If any one who is working on NV has any problems or concerns ask
Eric Mill and he will try to fix them.

Little Theatre-
   Paul- AJ and Johnny are doing their MQP about the little theatre so
they both went to a meeting with Paul.  AJ even got a key!  There will
be no meeting next week though because the permit process has begun and
they are waiting for them to all get approved till any thing more
occurs.
   Susan- it will be a trendy place, "warm and fuzzy"

film was the address mentioned and how was it mentioned?
Well, I made it easier:
What is the name of the mansions and what is its address?
And gave a giant hint, where I got the information from:MDb is awesome!!
Tara Ellsworth got it first but was not at the meeting so the runner up
was Diane Jordan.  She won a lovely turtle noise making toy!

  He brought his magic 8-ball with him and asked:

   Mike Seralde (sorry if I spelled you name wrong)- the plant bulb he got
as a trivia prise was planted and is now very large and blooming!

03.18.05 Meeting Minutes



Announcements:
   Yay, new officers!
   No office hours till further notice.
   We need a VP master electrician and a webmaster, talk to Kelly D.

New Voices 23:
   Shauna- Auditions were awesome! The cast lists will be posted by this
weekend outside of green room.  The NV23 website is up and running.
Visit it at www.wpi.edu/~NV23.  Stage managers are still need if you
are intereseted email Shauna L Malone at shaunana@gmail.com or
nv23@wpi.edu.  President Berkey announced at a staff meeting that the
New Voices auditions were going on.  One staff member even
auditioned!!!

Little Theatre:
   Paul- They had the budget meeting.  He got a tour of the space and it
is now empty.  In the next few weeks permits will be gotten and then
they can start to build!

Alpha Psi Omega:
   There will be no meeting this week because of callbacks.
   Next week's meeting is VERY important to attend.
   Resumes are due by 5pm on Thursday.
   Next week the inductees will be announced.

MW Rep:
   After NV23 is over, there will be officer elections.

GI:
   DAN is BACK!!!
   Next show is coming up soon. Next Friday at 8pm in the Odeum they will
be preforming in the Cambridge Debate. April 1st is going to be their
alumni show (this is not a joke).
Kilroy:
   Quad fest soon, they will be preforming. They will also be preforming
at Improv Boston on Sunday at 7pm.
Empty Set:
   Sarah is gone on her IQP in Austrialia. Dan is director in her absence.
At the Quad fest they will be doing a version or MST3000.

Trivia:
   The correct answer to this week's trivia was The Blue Man Group, that
was orginally started by three long-time freinds Chris Wink, Phil
Stanton and Matt Goldman.  There are currently 60 "Blue Men" working
through out the world.  The person to first get this correct was Regi
Moore.  She received a Ballon Making Kit to make Ballon's in many
unique shapes and sizes.

Masquete:
   During his term away he observed a very interesting sight while
shopping.  A little old lady was bargining for an item and started cry.
 She ended up getting the item.  (He told it much better, it really was
funny!)

Others:
   Chris- The ocapella fest in Saturday at 7pm.  Show starts at 7:30pm.
the tickets are $4 for students and $10 for everyone else.  It will be
held in Riley Commons.
   Eric- GI openning for the ocapella fest.  Also at the L&L movie fest on
Wed. and Thurs. two awesome movies will be shown.  Pulp Fiction on Wed.
and The Usual Suspects on Thurs.  They will be shown at 6:30 and 9:30
in Perreault Hall.
  Jamo- He tried to open a Coke bottle, foaming everywhere but still could
not open it all the way.  So, he tried to use a knife and ended up
cutting a T in his finger.  He believes that the T means that he is a
"tool."
  Johnny- The first aid kit has been restocked
  Kate- There were Girl Scouts in the wedge on Friday selling cookies till
6pm.
  Shauna- Call backs after meeting.  All FSM's must see her.  Production
postions still available so talk with her.
