Service Auction
Season tickets to Masque shows for the upcoming year were successfully auctioned off to Kurt Onofrey.

Trip
Susan's class will be going to see Meshuggah-Nuns at the Lyric Stage in Boston Sunday. If you're still interested in getting in on that, email Hilary at hhayes@wpi.edu. They'll leave at 1:30 and be back by 6 approximately.

C Term
Not enough people auditioned for either the Masque or MW shows. SO! If you interested in either production but couldn't make the auditions for whatever reason, email them. Email Josie (josie@wpi.edu) ASAP if you're interested in auditioning for The Rivals for Masque. Email Joe (jreinsch@wpi.edu) ASAP if you're interested in auditioning for the MW show.

Student Comedy Productions
Tuesday GI had their first musical which was a lot of fun, and this past Thursday GI performed in Boston as part of The Tribe's Winterfest. Be on the look out for a multitude of shows next term.
There will be an extra audition session for the New Sketch Comedy Group. Email Ben (tentacle@wpi.edu) if you're interested. Callbacks will be Monday and the list will go up Tuesday.
Kilroy production of "SEX a.k.a Wieners and Boobs" will go up for it's second night TONIGHT at 7 pm in Alden hall. It is free.

Alpha Psi
Alpha Psi's 24 Show is TONIGHT at 9 pm in Riley Commons. You can go to both shows, you do not need to choose. The timing works out. AYO's show is $3 at the door. It's a series of short shows that have all been written, directed and produced in the past 24 hours. Should be quite an event.

Susan
"The painting rises from the brushstrokes as a poem rises from the words. The meaning comes later."
~ Joan Miro

Masquot
You can make anything funny by saying "so we'll throw crab apples at them" at the end.

Trivia
The trivia for this weeks asked who the green room was dedicated to. The correct answer was WPI theatre alum Kim Bauman. Jim Nichols answered first correctly and Dean answered correctly with some "interesting trivia."

In Meeting Drama
Sasha performed a humorous rendition of a monologue from a screenplay written by Alison Rosenfeld-Desmarais.

That's all for this week. There is a lot of time sensitive information in this email so I hope everyone was paying attention when they read! You will be quizzed.

Many of our alumni members are coming back to join with our current members to make this an event you shouldn't miss. With your help we can guarantee one thing......an audience! Hope to see you there!!

The Rivals
The Masque C term show, The Rivals, is holding auditions with the MW Rep C term show this week. Auditions for both shows will be Tuesday 6-8 and Thursday 7-9. There are still a few production positions left, so email Josie (josie@wpi.edu) if interested.

Guerilla Improv
There will be a show this Tuesday (tomorrow) in Riley Commons. Show starts at 8 pm with Brandt Sanderson and his band for an hour then GI at nine for an hour. It's going to be an awesome spectacular. GI will also be performing this Thursday in Boston with The Tribe. Tickets are five dollars and it will be at the Boston Devanaughn Theatre (791 Tremont Street). Show starts at 8 pm. http://www.thetribepresents.com/college.htm

New Sketch
Ben will be directing a new sketch comedy group. Craig Rennak, who is coming back to the area in January, will be producing. Eric Mill will be assistant producing until then. Auditions will be piggy backing on the Maque auditions. You don't need to be funny, auditions will be on acting skills. So try it out.

Kilroy
"Disc" has its premiere this past Wednesday in Boston. If you're interested in owning Disc stuff, check out www.discthemovie.com. Kilroy had a show last Thursday in Boston with the Tribe and advised that if you're going there not to park in the parking garage across from the theatre since it closes at 9. Consider yourself warned. Email Hilary (hhayes@wpi.edu) if you're interested in doing something for that.
"Sex AKA Wieners and Boobs" will be performing this Friday and Saturday at 7 pm in Alden.

Trip
Susan's class will be going to see a show in Boston this Sunday. It is happening; it's part of the class. Let Hilary know (hhayes@wpi.edu) if you are interested in going and whether you would want to drive.

Service Auction
APO will be having their auction and Masque is looking for something to donate. A general consensus of a theatre mug with season tickets was reached. The auction will be Wednesday at 6 pm in the Campus Center.

Trivia
The name of the theatre in Middletown Connecticut that puts on a children's circus every year is Oddfellows Playhouse. The first correct answer was given by Josh True who got a Klingon Jesus piggy bank. Or at least I think it looks like a Klingon Jesus.

11.28.2003 Meeting Minutes

There was no meeting today due to Thanksgiving Break.

11.21.2003 Meeting Minutes

No Meeting due to Performance Call for Arsenic and Old Lace, but there were some important announcements made after the wonderful Friday night showing of Arsenic and Old Lace.

First of all, Arsenic and Old Lace had an amazing three day run. Congratulations to everyone involved on a magnificent show.

Mike handed off the keys to Hilary who is now our official president. This leads us into her announcement of the C term show!

The C term show is going to be *drumroll* "The Rivals" by Richard Brinsley Sheridan. There is a copy available on the H&A table to read. So read up and get psyched about the show.

The staff for New Voices 22 has been announced. The Executive Producer is Paul Messier. The Dramaturgy staff will be Executive Dramaturg Susan Vick, Associate Executive Dramaturg Ian Brodrick, Consulting Scenic Dramaturg David Eger, and Dramaturgs Jeremy Hamond, Jamie Stern-Gottfried, Chris Cenotti, Tara Ellsworth, Eric Mill, and Sarah Pavis. The Consulting Scenic Dramaturg is a new position this year dealing making the set conception to realization process smoother.

The New Voices 22 poster design deadline is extended to January 15th, 2004. So while you're taking this extra time to perfect your poster design you can put the finishing touches on your Masque t-shirt design. *wink wink nudge nudge*

So the next meeting will be December 5th at 5 pm in the Green room.

Have a nice Thanksgiving break everyone!

-Sarah Pavis

11.14.2003 Meeting Minutes

New Sketch
Ben is seeking a Producer for a sketch comedy troupe he'll be forming in C term. This group will be similar to Second City in that they will focus on characters and relationships.

Senior Gifts
It's time for the B term show and that means that it's senior gift time! Freshmen in theatre *need* to get gifts for the seniors graduating in B term. First you have to find out who is graduating as well as information about what kinds of theatre stuff they've done here. Then you find/make/buy gifts based on that. Any questions? Ask Kelly at kdriscol@wpi.edu Also if you happen to be a senior graduating in B term, make sure that we know about that otherwise you might miss out!

Alpha Psi
The fall '03 induction class for Alpha Psi Omega has been chosen! Sarah Linderme announced the inductees (in alphabetical order): Ian Brodrick, Tara Ellsworth, Sasha Levshin, Joe Reinsch, Mike Roberts and Ben Sandofsky. Josie Jaecksch was chosen last D term but was away so will get inducted this term. Congrats to all! The induction ceremony will be Friday evening after Arsenic and Old Lace.

T-Shirt Contest
Due to an underwhelming response to the design contest for the T-shirts, the deadline will be extended due to the fact that most everyone is busy with Arsenic. I know that you have a great idea for a design in that creative noggin of yours, so put it on paper (or even digitally) and hand it in. masque@wpi.edu or to Mike at miked@wpi.edu

Next Week
There will be no regularly scheduled meeting this Friday at 5 in the Green Room. Instead there will be a whole messload of announcements after the show. Come for Arsenic and Old Lace; stay for announcements.
