So far, I really like computer science. Except for binary, everything in the class is new to me. I find it fascinating to learn about computers, and learning the differences between different computer components like RAM and HardDrive has even helped me fix my computer. Previously it had no allocation for paging files and only 512MB of RAM, so it would crash constantly.
In the beginning of the year, we took apart a computer, then discovered that it was possible to purchase all its components for a total under $800, and easily, too! I feel like I understand my computer more throughly now, and that makes me happy.
Throughout the course of the class, we have been using Scheme as a programming tool. We learned about functions, recursion, images, and structures. Below are two different labs which we had to complete in class.
