This is my seventh year as a faculty member in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).
My teaching and professional practice are in the area of structural engineering, and I have been a Registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 1988.
My research activities deal with tools and methods to support the teaching and practice of design as applied to constructed facilities. The focus is on the integration of design and construction and the concept of performance-based design.
For the past six years, I have also served as the faculty advisor to the Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) .
