I will be on Sabbatical for AY2009-2010 at the National University of Ireland in Galway, funded in part by the Fulbright Commission

Our research is funded in part by an R15 (AREA) grant from the National Institutes of Health

Our research is also funded in part by a US Army TATRC grant on Neuroprosthetics.

Dr. Billiar is the PI on an NSF REU grant entitled: REU site:  Integrated Bioengineering Research, Education, and Outreach Experiences for Females and Underrepresented Minorities at WPI. (Marsha Rolle, Co-PI)

Dr. Billiar is co-PI on an NSF RET grant entitled: RET Site: Inquiry-based Bioengineering Research and Design Experiences for Middle-School Teachers. (Terri Camesano, PI)

Previous funding includes an NIH R15 award.  Also a  four-year Scientist Development Grant from the American Heart Association, National Affiliate, entitled:  “Mechanical Activation of Valvular Interstitial Cell Phenotype."

Previous funding includes a Whitaker Foundation Biomechanical Engineering Research Grant entitled:  "Mechanically-guided wound healing to promote dermal regeneration."

Previous funding also includes a Johnson & Johnson Wound Management/University of Massachusetts Medical School Department of Surgery Grant and a WPI Research Advancement Program Grant.
