Hi, my name is Julia Knowles, and I currently attend Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science at WPI. I play the cello in the Joy of Music Program chamber orchestra, and I have been taking lessons since 3rd grade. I hope that next year I will be able to play in the WPI orchestra.
For 7th through 10th grade, I attended Tahanto Regional High school. At my old school, I enjoyed playing percussion in band, running cross country, and hanging out with friends. Some classes I will never forget are: Biology with Mrs. Sequeira, Math with Mrs. Ball, Chemistry with Mr. Covino, French with Madame Barry<3, Gym with Mrs. Anderson, English with Mr. Doherty, and History with Mr. Pacheco and Mr. Neusch.
I live in Boylston, MA with my mom, and 3 younger siblings. In total, I have 6 siblings, but 3 of the older ones have left for college. My oldest brother Luke lives in Worcester and manages to stay updated with the family, and watching over all of his younger responsibilities. Josh, the second oldest, lives in Boston and will sometimes play his violin on Boston common for fun. He attends Berklee College of Music, and works in youth and family services. Mae, my older, more mature sister, is spending her first year at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She enjoys painting, and loves anything that is related to horses. My younger brother Joe attends my sending school and is really good at dancing, acting, and singing. Aidan, the second youngest, is really smart and I enjoy spending time with him because we both love the TV show The Office and we love joking around together. The youngest is Cecilia, and she is the cutest, which is why she always gets what she wants. The weirdest thing about my family is our unusual nicknames for eachother.
Here are the Junior courses I take at Mass Academy
