Oh MASS Academy...
Hey everyone, my name is Jeeva Jacob and this is my Mass Academy website. I am currently a junior at Mass Academy, as most of you might know by now. I am originally from my sending school, St. Bernard's, and for those of you who don't know where it is, it's in Fitchburg. Though I loved my sending school it was nothing like what I am experiencing here at MASS academy. This year started out with so many mixed emotion. I was constantly worried about the "huge work load" that was the "talk of the town", but actually it is very organized and hence manageable.
It's pretty amazing here. The people and the classes we have are so much fun and the opportunities we have are very exciting. All of the teachers have their own unique method of teaching, each of which is completely different from any other school I've ever been to. All the teachers are open, nice, and funny, thus creating a great environment to study in. Also because our class only consists of about 50 students, there are bonds of friendship created between every classmate. As one the seniors had told me,
"Mass Academy is like a fishbowl... you see the same building and people every day"
so we end up having to make friends with every classmate because we see each of them every day.
I live in Shirley, so it's about a 45 minutes ride. Even though there is a commute it's really worth it to come to this amazing school. Junior year has started out great and I hope it continues like this for the rest of the year. To tell you the truth, even though the year has just started, I'm already looking forward to next year, when we become seniors and also a college freshmen at the same time.
Wish me luck for the rest of the year!
This is me
