Hi! My name is Heidy Rodriguez, and I'm a current Junior at the Mass Academy for Science and Math. I'm from here, my family is from the Caribbean. My mom’s from Puerto Rico, and my dad’s from the Dominican Republic. I'm Hispanic, so I have a lot of family members. I mean 54 great uncles on my dad’s side and about 3 on my mom’s side, all with their own family. I don't know half of them. The majority of my family is from the Dominican, so my family has been going there about once a year for 3 years now. I’m hopefully traveling to Puerto Rico soon, to meet some of my relatives. I've been living in Worcester since forever. I went to the Goddard School for Science and Technology for elementary school. For middle school, I was in the Goddard Scholars Program at Sullivan Middle, and in the same program for two years at South High before transitioning to MAMS.
I like reading and writing, and seriously love math and solving problems-which is part of the reason why I like to help others so much. I play sports, and love music. I am an aspiring Forensic Scientist, which is a pretty cool field that i'm excited to study in the future (hopefully)! Click around my website to learn more about me and my time at MAMS!
