Computer Science is one of my favorite classes because we get to make websites like this one! Ms. Lang is our teacher and she makes sure that every class is filled with html and scheme(a computer programming language). This past year during CS I feel like I have improved significantly with my computer programming skills, as well as my problem solving skills. We had a lot of difficult labs, but in the end I learned a lot. I mean I just programmed a whole computer game with a partner. I never expected myself to be any good at CS, but now I feel like I know a lot more about computers and the scheme computer language.

In this lab our groups were supposed to make fractals in scheme, the fractal my partner and I made was the tree fractal. The tree fractal starts with one line standing straight up and from that line two lines of half the length branch off at 45 degree angles. Next, these two lines have lines branch out from them and so forth. It was a fun lab to work on and it turned out really nicely which is why I chose it.
In this lab our groups had to create a game called pong. In this game you could bounce off of the walls of the screen and the paddle at the bottom of the screen. If you missed the ball with the paddle the game was over. It was a really difficult lab because it was our first game we made and it still kind of confuses me which is why I chose it.
In this lab my partner and I worked really well together. He was a really good programmer so it made it a l ot easier, but he also taught me so much stuff about scheme during this lab. In this lab we were supposed to create a game that has a ufo and a shooter. The shooter can only shoot 5 shots at the ufo, if all the shots miss the ufo and it reaches the bottom of the screen then you lose. If the ufo gets blown up by the shots then you win. It was a fun game to program and I also learned a lot which was important to me, that is why it is my favorite lab.
This lab was our final project and my least favorite lab. I really disliked this lab because unlike all of the other labs our goals were not outlined because we were making individual game on different physics concepts. What made this lab even more difficult was the fact that Mr. Ellis would change your game half way through all your programming and you would have to rewrite it. In this lab my partener and I decided to make a game on the Force of tension on a plank held up by strings. We thought this would be an easy task, but because of our atrocious programming skills we found it really difficult.
