Chad Moore
Hey guys. My name is Chad. I attend Heathwood Hall Episcopal School in Columbia, S.C. I am currently 17 but will be turning 18 in August. I like DJ'ing at local raves, playing football, tennis, and swimming. I love the beach and want to retire there. This camp has helped me to focus the topic of my senior symposium that I have to do. I enjoyed encrypting and decrypting.
The math program has been interesting and very informative. We learned how to come up with our own encryption schemes, and then we learned how to break them. Then we figured out where we would place a satellite that would provide encryption for big companies on the internet like Amazon.com. Our teacher was Mr. Goulet, who is a teacher at WPI, and his assistant Barry, who is going to be a math teacher next year.
WPI is a nice school that has a lot going for it. It is geared towards the oncoming technology age, and has many excellent courses for its students to take. Its facilities are very nice, and the campus feels very friendly. They have managed to develop both a good science department and a humanities department.
