Ok; finals took over my life and I couldn't continue my Czech lesson.
I don't feel like doing anything so i'll just like, write a crash course
in Czech.
The special characters aren't going to show up the same with different
fonts, so i'm not even going to try. Be aware that some of these letters
have little funny things over them sometimes. :) All of the R's are
rolled, most vowels are pronounced like our 'short' vowel sounds, rather
than 'long' vowel sounds.
Thought you'd appreciate this little crash course I constructed in the
amazing Slavic-esque language of Czech. I used the Random House 'Fast and
Easy Czech (women)' guide for reference.
While I'm by no means a Czeck Czexpert, I know a bit. I'd be more than
happy to converse with you all on the plane, etc. to practice some basics.
It'll really impress them! :) You may want to print out a copy of this,
if you think it'll be useful. I've tried to make it a good reference as
much as possible...
These expressions will be very useful to you (some more than others) when
we're in and around Prague. Be polite, they like that kind of shit. uh,
stuff, ie, please, thank you, pardon me, I'd like another beer, all of
which are included in this handy tutorial. :)
Speaking Czech "TO JE VELMI JEDNODUCHE", is very simple.
To get someone's attention, use 'excuse me, please'
Prominte, Prosim (proh-meen-teh proh-seem)
On with the rest of the tutorial:
