WPI Design Innovation Scholarship
For the tenth consecutive year, WPI will award a full-tuition, four-year undergraduate scholarship (valued at more than $100,000) to a FIRST team student participant. This year, each team participating in the 2005 FIRST Robotics Competition may nominate one of its student members for the WPI Design Innovation Scholarship. The candidate must be in her/his senior year of high school and be an active FIRST team member. An adult team leader will submit a letter of nomination to accompany their candidate's WPI application forms. Students nominated by their teams must be capable of meeting normal WPI admissions requirements, hav demonstrated enthusiasm for engineering and science, and possess the ability and innovation necessary to excel as an engineer or scientist. The winning student must maintain satisfactory academic progress at WPI to maintain the award.
