Computer Science
In Computer Science, we learned how to code websites in html, and are currently
working on programming in scheme.
We do scheme labs in groups of two, working on them both in and out of class. Examples of my work in Computer
Science so far this year are in the links below. The first is an example of the scheme labs we do in class.
In this lab we worked on structures. The second link is a slideshow of computer parts that could be purchased
and assembled for less than $800, which is much less than it would cost to buy the computer already put together.
The reflection link is my reflection on the year in computer science class and what I have learned. The data flow link
is a diagram that shows how the data is passed through each function in the UFO lab, which is the last link. The UFO
lab was my least favorite lab this year, mostly just because my group ran into many problems in the process of
coding it, and it was very frustrating. The pong lab right above it, However, is my favorite lab from this year, as well
as the one I am most proud of. This was the first time we worked with the world teachpack in scheme, and I was proud of
my work on this lab because I understood it well and the final product works well. One lab that I still don't understand
is the lab we made that dealt with structures and lists of structures, the pokemon lab. Our work on this lab was interrupted
by the ice storm, and my partner and I had trouble with the images in this lab.
