BDT Officers
WPI Ballroom Dance Team Officers are elected every year in C term. They train under their predecessors the remainder of C and all of D term, and take full command of the position starting that summer. Genevieve Desaulniers

Genevieve is a senior majoring in Biology and Biotechnology. She has been an avid ballroom dancer since 2004, and enjoys competing with the WPI Ballroom Dance Team. In addition to dancing, Genevieve is a member of Greek Life on campus, as well as a driver for the SNAP service. She is currently completing her MQP at UMASS, in Preventative and Behavioral Medicine.

Derrick is senior majoring in Biochemistry. He began ballroom dancing since the beginning
of his freshman year, 2004. He has been Team Captain since the beginning of A-term 2007.

Roseann Gammal

Roseann is a sophomore Chemical Engineering major who began ballroom dancing at the beginning of her freshman year and hasn't stopped since. In addition to ballrooom dancing, she is also an SGA senator, Exploradreams mentor, and a PLA for the freshmen seminar "Feed the World." She is very excited to be a part of the officer board this year, and is looking forward to a great year of dancing ahead.

Maria is a sophomore Biochemistry major who began dancing and competing with the team at the beginning of her freshman year. She is an active member of the musical community, serving as the secretary for the Symphonic Organization, and second flute for Concert Band and Full Orchestra. She will be playing in the Mikado in September, WPI's second-ever musical. She is currently completing her Sufficiency Project in Spanish Language, and hopes to travel abroad for her IQP.

Michelle is a Junior Biology and Biotechnology major who began dancing at the very beginning of her freshman year. Coming from a classical ballet background which wasn't supported at WPI, ballroom was a more than acceptable alternative and gave her an amazing group of friends. She is actively involved in music on campus, playing in the Orchestra as well as the Medwin String Quartet the past two years. Come B term, she will be completing her IQP in Venice!
