Student Learning Outcomes, Assessment,
and the First Year

Mission Statement: To better understand how student learning outcomes are formulated, and to effectively (and efficiently) assess these outcomes, in an effort to improve the overall first year college experience.
Medium: To create a Student Learning Outcomes, Assessment, and the First Year Conference (beginning June 2005 at WPI), to enable active participation from both staff and faculty members, with the intent of forming an alliance of New England Colleges and Universities, to collectively address first year issues and concerns.
