Humanities

Humanities is taught by Mr. Ludt. In Humanities we read the book "Landmarks in Humanities" by Gloria Fiero. For each chapter we write information on key terms. Here are the key terms for Chapter 4.

In Humanities we periodically write essays on broad topics Mr. Ludt assigns. One essay that I wrote was on human relationships in Greek mythology.

Another essay that I wrote was on The Spectator, issues 275 and 281, in which Joseph Addison mocks the superficiality of 18th century upper class men and women.

A third essay that we had to write was about Richard III written by Shakespeare. I chose to write about how Shakespeare gave insight into the thoughts of Richard III.

Our final essay of junior year was about Maggie: A Girl of the Streets written by Stephen Crane which depicted a family living in tenements of New York City during the late nineteenth century.
