I have played the flute since I was in fourth grade. I chose flute simply because we had one in the house, but I have come to really enjoy it. Flute parts are, in general, more difficult to play than certain other instruments, so it is always challenging. Plus, I didn't want to play trumpet because my older brother played it (could you imagine sitting next to your three-year-older brother in band class).
