My Humanities class is taught by Mr. Ludt. Humanities is a mixture of history and literature. We survey world history through literature and art. We read many of plays and poems in this class and learn about the cultures which produced them. It is an interesting class, and Mr. Ludt makes it very lively.
In this class, we are required to write a weekly journal, in which we include a brief reflection about anything we want, a grammar error we observed over the course of the week, and 20 new words that we learned. this was the first journal that I ever wrote. In addition, we write a few essays over the course of the year. this is an essay I wrote about Homer's Iliad.
Here are some of the other essays I wrote this year. The first is about germanic myths. The second is about the Illiad. The third is about Shakespeare's play Richard III. All three of these essays are representative of the level of work expected in this class by Mr. Ludt.
