Welcome to WPI-ASCE!
ASCE is the professional society for civil engineers. It consists of many different divisions, such as structural, environmental, and geotechnical. ASCE seeks to assist students studying civil engineering with activities to further their practical knowledge of the field through competitions and annual conferences. Through these activities, future civil engineers are provided with the opportunity to experience the practical application of their studies. One of the highlight competitions provided by the ASCE is the annual Concrete Canoe competition.
WPI-ASCE
attempts to give guidance to and improve the
professional
development of individuals through group activities such as conventions,
seminars, publications, social activities, competitions and community
service projects. We seek to develop an environment that fosters
communication and interaction between civil engineering students,
faculty and practicing engineers. We designed this website to allow current and prospective
chapter members and team members to have a way of keeping up to date on the happening at
WPI-ASCE.
The student chapter of WPI-ASCE would like to make a push this year to
enter the concrete canoe competition. Our team has a place for you no
matter what talents or skills you have. If you are looking for a chance
to build professional and teamwork skills as well as using your knowledge
in a practical way, then we encourage you to come and join our
team.
