American Society of Civil Engineers: WPI Student Chapter

News:

We had a very successful A and B term. We were very lucky to have Amy LeBlanc and Judy Nitsch join us for a presentation on Site Planning and Civil Engineering. Also we hosted a study break before finals in B term.  We are looking forward to participating in the Big Beam Design Contest this spring and hosting another guest speaker partnered with the Society of Fire Protection Engineers.

Events:

Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute Big Beam Contest -Design the largest beam you can and test for strength. We will be partnered with Unistress Corp with help from Timothy Breen from Jan-May. Email tracygx@wpi.edu if you are interested in joining.
