Technical and Science Writing

Technical and Science writing is an attempt to make the students at Mass Academy into better writers. Ms Jarvis teaches the class, and it's fairly lax. I'm kind of looking forward to becoming a better writer, but the work that it'll take isn't looking like too much fun...

This essay is an essay on Hail. We worked on if for about two months on and off. I think that with one more rewrite, the attempted humor you'll find would have had a chance to be fully developed.

In true Andy Lewis fashion, I managed to wrestle an essay on Lyme disease into an essay as to why American Capitalism is "less than desirable." I don't actually believe that capitalism is inherently evil, it just needs to be monitored.

We were assigned to write an encyclopedia article on the best invention ever. Obviously, the best invention ever is the Church of the Flying Spagghetti Monster, obviously. What a great topic, it was lots of fun to try to teach Miss Jarvis what it's all about... I even read the Gospel!

This is an older assignment out of a packet, but I was able to have fun with it in my own little way. Who says school can't be fun? I believe that the best way to explain my take on the assignment is with an anonymous quote from Humanities class: "The Bible never says that Jesus isn't a velociraptor..."
