Our Philanthropy
Philanthropy and community service are very important to Alpha Gamma Delta. Our official philanthropy - the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation - supports the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF provides care for patients with diabetes, helps educate the public about the disease, and does research to help improve the lives of children living with diabetes.
How We Help
Every year Alpha Gamma Delta participates in a variety of fund-raising activities to support our philanthropy. In the fall we participate in the JDRF Walkathon in Worcester. Each sister raises money that goes directly to support those affected by juvenile diabetes. On Valentine's Day we sell carnations as another fundraiser.

Our biggest event of the year is our annual Tetter-Totter-A-Thon. Every spring we team up with fraternity Lambda Chi Alpha to raise money from local businesses. Then we spend almost a week teeter-tottering on the Quad, day and night, rain or shine! This is a fun event that raises awareness for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

This past year we raised enough money to be recognized as a Jewel Chapter! This means we raised over $2,000 for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation.
Other Philanthropy
In addition to supporting the Alpha Gamma Delta foundation, we also get involved with other important events on campus. In December we raise money to give Christmas gifts to underprivileged children through The Giving Tree. We also participate in Relay For Life, a huge fundraiser with the aim to cure cancer. Last year we had two teams and raised a lot of money for the American Cancer Society.
