WPI Wall Street Project Center

Now in its tenth year of operation, the Wall Street Project Center is part of a network of global project sites operated by WPI.

More about the program

Worcester Polytechnic Institute is the academic leader in incorporating critical thinking and quantitative skills to the educational process. Each year, WPI sends teams of students to Wall Street and London to complete the Major Project (a university degree requirement) with some of the largest financial firms in the world. Past project sponsors include Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, and Royal Bank of Scotland.

These are not intern programs; rather, students complete rigorous project work for academic credit, carefully guided by faculty advisors. One of the strengths of the Wall Street Project Center is the intensive preparation students undertake before they arrive.

As testimony to the success of Wall Street Project Center, most sponsors have renewed each year since their first project experience. In addition, a number of WPI alumni who completed projects there are now working on Wall Street for the companies that sponsored their projects.
