In STW we learn how to write correctly and proofread our own work. We are becoming experts on editing non-fiction articles which will help us write our research papers. We are also doing practice PSAT questions in order to prepare for the uncoming test. Some examples of work from this class are an essay about nature and a paper regarding a pseudoscience.
Also in STW, we have written essays that were entered in the Dupont Contest. The first essay of this contest was a topic of choice. The second one, however, had to deal with a current science. We also did a major project on a historical invention. The invention which I was assigned was the navigational compass. Here is the paper I wrote regarding the topic.
