Scientific/Technical Writing is taught by Dr. Sumner. In this class, we take writing that looks generally good and tear it apart...picking out even the smallest mistakes. This was probably my favorite class this year, as Dr. Sumner is a great teacher and a lot of fun to learn from.
In the fall, we had to write an essay about the effects of the cold on a spot in nature. This was an essay about crop circles, discussing the theory of Occam's Razor. This was a really fun essay to write! It's about the history and science behind fireworks. This was an essay about Acute Mountain Sickness. Near the end of the year, I wrote a rather long paper on the history of rocketry.
