Mid-Century Room 7-8:30
It was great seeing returning members and new members alike.
There was a short worship service the beginning followed by check in.
A number of business items relating to club status were discussed at this meeting. These included the constitution, meeting frequencies, and why should become a recognized student group. We decided to try and meet every week if possible.
We also showed the UU Campus Ministry video this meeting.
Great To See Everyone There.
October 8-First Informational Meeting
We had a great meeting on Wednesday the sixth of October. In total there were nine individuals in attendance, a very encouraging number considering the minimal advertising that was done to promote the event.
Numerous topics were discussed, from what is Unitarian Universalism to what a UU group could do on campus.
We plan to have another meeting during early B-term.
To promote the organization we will tell people about Unitarian Universalism and our shared principles while collecting the fifty signatures that are needed to pursue club status.
Another way that we will promote the organization will be through having a table set up in the campus center to collect signatures and to recruit members.
Future signs will also carry the UU principles with the hope that non-UUs will respond positively to them.
As with any group of UUs their was a great amount of energy and enthusiasm at the meeting
