Welcome to the Pep Band!

Get Busy with the Pep Band.

Welcome to the home page of the WPI Pep Band. Our halftime show for the 08-09 football season is "Heroes" featuring Batman, Raider's March, Iron Man, and Superman. We play at all home WPI football and basketball games, the occasional away game, and we occasionally get invited to play at the Worcester Sharks games. The band welcomes members of all musical ability. We also have a colorguard which is open to anyone who is willing to learn to spin. We march a full halftime show during football season and occasionally do exhibition shows and parades. The Pep Band also offers physical education credit for those participating in football and/or basketball season. Participation in Pep Band for all four years will therefore fulfill your physical education requirement. Despite being available for academic credit, members still find the rehearsals and performances to be very casual and loads of fun. The Pep Band is a rowdy bunch that has much to offer its members, including pizza, movie nights, parties, friendship, and most important of all, good music!

Feel free to explore the Pep Band store as well, located on the left menu. You can find a bunch of pep band products to let you show off your pep band pride whether in the winter, spring, summer, or fall. Also, while you are showing off your pep band pride to all your fellow friends and coworkers, it allows us to gain some extra fundraising money for instrument repairs so that we will be able to keep performing a great show for you.

Currently, we are not looking for new members for the football season, although feel free to contact the officers via pepoff@wpi.edu if you have any questions or you are interested in joining us for the basketball season. We will be looking for marchers for the 09-10 football season during the spring and summer of 2009.
